And This Little Pig said Cow-Day Wednesday

 Pretty
 More Noses
 One More
It's all in the Eye

Well my home computer is back home :@ Not a virus, thankfully, the 'processor' went kaput, so the hard drive has been replace, more space, nothing lost. So now I have to find all my ancillary programs to put back on.

Currently planning an Autumn Exchange on Friendly Stitchers-UK finally settled on a design for my Swap
Partner.

Took photos of Flower's pups at the weekend, will try and get them up tomorrow, along with some fabric for a new quilt I have planned. Home to the family farm for an extended weekend, taking the pups with me.

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day Wednesday

Big day, and quite tired, no stitching for a couple of days, and having withdrawals. I'm blaming the Olympics! Being at the bottom of the world, its leading to a late nights and early mornings. Go Sally and Anna! The girls managed to double our gold medals in one day.
What's that you say?
Mmmm... well
Hel...
...lo?
Umm...
...No

I did take photos of others, but this boy stood out, not just the spots, he had character and defiance.

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day Wednesday

Yes I'm back on track, it is Wednesday, the proper Cow-Day, and what a day! Yesterday was obviously the last day of the month, which meant that today I had to be up at 5.30am, at the office by 6am, to get a bank statement to finish the End of Month procedure, and be at the Saleyards in time to do the pre-sale paperwork... then we were first sale, so had to be on the weight bridge by 8.30am. So in other words, a full day's work before I even started :@ but I did get to go home early.
I love lop-ears, just love them, and this girl was wonderful.
Though at times she just won't look at me.
I love this photo, I was trying to get a close up of the lovely markings around her eye, it was only afterwards that I noted the lovely Friesian girl in the background.
Fluffy ears and flyaway hair, needed a bit of hairspray did this one.
And look at the curls, I came back later to take his photo in better light, but he had been moved.

Also today is the horses birthday, and also one of my brothers birthday as well... Happy Birthday.

I'd also like to thank everyone who comments on my blog, I do try and reply to everyone, some days are better than other, plus there are people... DJ and Christine who have a no reply, so I don't get to say hi to them them... Hi DJ, Hi Christine!

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day on a Thursday

I meant to post yesterday, honestly I did, but I clean forgot. Silly me :@ Don't that look like a group of naughty school boys, saying 'It wasn't me, honest.'
Two of my loves, Brahmans, and bellowing calves.
Long face and loopy ears
Old man waiting on his master, and taking a quick snooze.
Macaroons! The lovely Cassie from the Saleyards, made these for me as a belated birthday gift.
They were scrumptious, and didn't last long in the office :@
Meah helping me stitch the other night, she wasn't all that happy at be woken to have her photo taken, iPhones are wonderful things.

Off to do some stitching.

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day-Wednesday

First don't faint! Yes there are cow, well one photo of cows
Didn't have much time today to snap some photos, but grabbed this one with the iPhone, love the long hair over her tail.
Also the iPhone taken on the 4 July, the last pens of the sale being sold. It was a beautiful winters day. The sun shining, no breeze, just perfect.

The stitching mojo is still with me, praise be :@

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day-Wednesday

Well what a week, I can tell you, I haven't visited one blog :( Think I can actually count the number of stitches I have done in the past two weeks... well... 53... yep that's about it. This is my busy time of the year, but this is ridiculous. No time to take photos today, so had to fall back on my spare Cow-Day photos. BUT I did manage to clip a Spoodle :@ My friend Bev from my LNS fell and broke her hip four weeks ago, so between myself and another doggie friend we have been babysitting Alfie. Ooops no photos, but he went home at the weekend, and he was due for a clip when he came to us, so he had a 'shave' on Sunday. May not have been the best clip he has ever had, but he was neat, fairly tidy, and saved Bev money, looks like we are about to go into the Alfie clipping business.
Dribbles
Oh have been forgetting to tell you all, remember Alan the jersey cow we got for Mum last year, well she calved last weekend, or was it the weekend before... who knows :@ A boy we were hoping for a girl, but 'Jersey Boy' will not be going in anyones freezer, when he grows up he going to be a working bull on a dairy farm. Yes found him a lovely dairy to go to in a couple of months. Luckily 'Alan' is a good cow, and apparently his father is from a good milking like as well.

Now hopefully I will get a spare five minutes to photograph my small progress and the finish from a couple of weeks ago... who knows? I was so hoping to have up to six finishes before the end of March, but at this rate will be lucky to have four.

Catch you all later... hopefully... LiBBiE in Oz

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day-Wednesday

Hello my name is Bailey.
Look, look, look, looking away.
They are not crocodile tears, my mum, they left mum behind! What do you mean I'm grown up! I'm not!
Horns of wisdom and fluffy ears

Today was a sad day our young trainee auctioneer is leaving and this was his last sale day. His wife has had a transfer interstate, we will be sorry to see him go :(

So only a short post I do have another finish, I just have to photograph, maybe tomorrow. A lot going on at the moment, and have been very busy, and not much time to spend checking out everyone's blog, and think I am starting to go into withdrawal :@

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day-Wednesday

Now what is that? If I just reach out and... whoa!
Maybe if I come at it from this side.
Nope definitely safer from back here, no clickie clickie sounds.
This is the fellow who drew my attention to this pen, walking down a lane, these boys were the last pen in the sale, and he literally would not stop staring at me. I opened a gate, dropped the gate chain, which made a big noise, but he just stood there and said "Come on I waiting for my photo!"
Oh not so sure about you... what do you mean whiskers... I'm too young to shave :@
What! Now you're down there... make up your mind woman.

It was a fun day today, it's not often that the first pen I stop at is it. Usually walk up and down, up and down, but these young boys just made it easy... that and it started to rain right after I took their photos :@

So happy Cow-Day-Wednesday, not much stitching going on, as I had a sale last Saturday, then we actually had a break in the rain on Sunday, so I managed to get 80% of my yard mowed, before I have to actually buy a herd of cows to keep the grass down. How much rain?
The was one morning last week on my way to work, the football field across the road, it's designed to do this, I must dig out the photo of the guy canoeing past the cross bar of the goal posts. After 8 years of drought we really don't want all that missed rain all at once. Not complaining, definitely not complaining. Just wet and humid, and the grass won't stop growing, so much for autumn :@

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day-Wednesday

Cow-Day-Wednesday, this boy was gorgeous! Chocolate speckles, with odd coloured spots! He'd look wonderful on the floor as a rug... Sorry but this is what Bon and I talk about as they go over the weigh bridge. Whether they would look great on the floor?
This is his catwalk look, can't you see him doing a pirouette at the end of the runway.
This girl...
and her brother...
were divine to photograph... the patches and the stripes.
There are four beasts in this photo, but I love the tail swish.
Tall boy, those gates are set 6 foot off the ground.
What ARE you looking at?

I feel like I'm turning into a cow/farm blog, but I do know that "x-stitch" is my most prominent tag :@ And I did get some stitching done today, while I was waiting to weigh cattle, worked on LHN Silent Night, hope to have finished tomorrow or the next day.

So update tomorrow, along with some more family farm photos along with a stitching update.

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day-Wednesday

Cow-Day-Wednesday, has become Bull-Day :@
Only had time today to quickly snap one 'beast' and this boy certainly took my eye.
Can you tell why?

I have been so very slack... before Christmas, yep last year I won a giveaway held by Maggee - Stitching Devotee and with the Christmas mail it arrived in the new year, and WOW there was so much in that parcel, that it took three photos to take it all in. So many charts, designers and magazines I had not seen.
Thank you Maggee, I am looking forward to going through it again and again to pick some out to stitch.
Oh last week we more rain!!
Which was part of a big storm, and the pub across the road, every work place should have a pub across the road, we have two :@ Well one was struck by lightning.
The fire brigade along with some firemen... turned up, but there was so much rain, which was very heavy, there was thankfully no chance of fire, but the pubs, the butcher and the gourmet pizza shop still do not have phones or efpos.

Stitching update tomorrow.
