And This Little Pig said Crazies Day 8

Day 8, can you believe, over half way there :D

LHN Ornament Winter Sheep.
I did work some more on my Day 7 Crazy, particularly when I realized the right hand border was also out by 6 stitches, so did some frogging, and put most of the stitches back in this morning, before I started on the above.

I can't believe the amount of enjoyment I am getting out of this. I also can't believe that I now have 8, no 9 WIP from this year, seeing as the most WIP's I have ever had in the past is 4. So 9 + 2 outstanding from last year equals 11.... ahhhhhh

I have often put up pictures of my dogs, and realized why I may have mentioned my 3 cats in passing, I don't think I have put their photos up. I have a couple of great shots, but they are all on my windows computer, which is currently down with a virus (again). When it comes back from the IT man this time IT WILL NEVER BE CONNECTED to the internet again. All surfing, browsing, postings etc will be done on my Apple laptop.

So I have photos of two of my cats, Sylvia was playing at hiding today. So here is my beautiful La Stella Bella, she is an Australian Mist, I liked it better when they called the Spotted Mists :D
Stella is not showing off her spots to perfection, because come summer round here, she and Sylvia who is a semi-long, are clipped. Stella has about 5-6 weeks growth, and when I first clip/shave her, she looks like a skinned rabbit, with absolutely no spots.

This is Levi a Devon Rex,  don't let that innocent look fool you into thinking that butter wouldn't melt in his mouth, cause when you switch the L to the end of his name... Evil.
These photos were taken of them sharing their styrofoam box, the kind that vegetables come in. When it is really hot, I put a frozen drink bottle in, and cover with a towel. It is like having their own little cool room.

And This Little Pig said Crazies Day 7 -- Oh Damn

Well damn, damn and double damn, never fear, I have stitched today, LHN Ornament The Merry Skater, the companion piece to LHN The Happy Skater.

At first I thought I had miscounted, I was stitching down the left hand side of the pattern, and the closer I got to the bottom, I kept thinking this isn't working. I recounted - checked the patterns stitch count - I was right with the surrounding boarder matched.

Then I counted the pattern itself... damn... it is out by 6 stitches... Stitch Count 40 x 51 should read 40 x 57. Misprints happen, and thank God I start from top to bottom. So no real hardship, just have to unpick the bottom row.
So excuse me, I'm off to frog (rippit) my bottom row.

On a different note, look I think I may just have worked out how to photograph my pieces at night with the new camera... Less light and night scape.

And This Little Pig said Crazies Day 6 with a Bonus

Day 6 of the Crazies is going so much better, I felt so much more motivated, don't know why, just one of those things I suppose.

So LHN Ornament Peppermint Twist, this one is going to have to wait a little while for a finish, as I still have to order the speciality threads from the USA :D
Also now is the time for a small confession, I actually have 16 pieces I want to start in the Crazy January Challenge. I mean how can you do the 12 Little House Needleworks Ornaments for 2010, and not do the LHN companion piece 'Happy Skater' that appeared in the JSC Ornaments 2010. So by the end of the year I should/will have a baker's dozen of new ornaments for my tree!
I really enjoyed doing this, and may even take some time out of tomorrows ornament to finish. I really enjoyed this piece, having started it early this morning before work, and also stitching in my lunch hour.

I also came home and photographed in normal light, turned out so much better, really have to sit down with the manual for my Nex-5 to work out the flash and night shooting inside, in not so brilliant light. Oh well when I have all my Crazies started.

Till tomorrow... LiBBiE in Oz

And This Little Pig said Crazies Day 5 + Cow-Day-Wednesday

Well it's Day 5 of the Crazies, I had a little trouble getting motivated tonight, but I forced myself :D to sit and stitch. So here is another LHN Ornament... Under the Tree.
I can't wait to get all of my Crazies started, so I can go back and do some finishes.

Also with the new year, and new camera, it is time re-instate my Cow-Day-Wednesday.

I love Jersey's we have two at home at Mum's and these boys were taking it easy today, before the sale.
And you know there is always time for a quick nap.
What a wise old face, on a young beast. Don't you just love the strips.
Until you tomorrow... Night... LiBBiE in Oz

And This Little Pig said Crazies Day 4

Day 4 of the Crazy January Challenge, and I think I have my stitching organised. In the morning I try and work on a previously started WIP, mainly LHN Family Sampler, which I would love to have finished by March.

In the evening I work on my Crazies for a couple of hours... so Day 4 LHN Ornament Red House in Winter.
Today was the first day back at work, not too bad, all things considered. Catch up on the mail, banking... month end for December, so 2010 if finally finished and put to bed. Happy New Year!

And This Little Pig said Crazies Day 3

As Day 3 of the Crazies draw to a close... oh my sounds like Days of Our Lives :D

LHN Ornament Snowy Pines, I really enjoyed this one, but I have had a little more time, to stitch this evening.
What a difference a flash makes. Still don't think I have the colour of my linen quite right, but I will get there (fingers crossed) as me and the Nex-5 get more acquainted.

I must re-photograph Day 1 and 2. They are awfully yellow :(

Do you like my 'little pig'? I have been without my photo signature, as I have a virus in my home Windows computer (second time in six weeks), so have been operating on Mum's Mac or my Mac laptop. So I went for a surf today, and found a program called Pixelmator, and after much playing, I was able to come up with a new signature. Cute isn't he?

And This Little Pig said Crazies Day 2

Well Day 2 of the Crazies draws to a close, and I have photos as promised!

I will have to retake, as the light was not great, and they photographed dark, my fault, I did not take the time to attach the flash.

So Day 1 LNH Ornament Fa La La
Day 2 LHN Ornament Pear Tree
It has been a big day, after 8 days at home with Mum and Dad, and that is 8 days of being up at 5am to do farm work. Oh we (Mum & I) had a lot of fun in between, but to use an Aussie saying... "I am stuffed."

I drove home today, had a good trip, just a little tired, arrived home to 38C temp, and obviously no rain while I was away, and a very crunchy lawn. Well at least it doesn't need mowing at the moment. See an upside to everything.

As I was driving out of Mum's this little fellow caught my eye, and he kindly obliged by not moving... but then again, he is a Frilled Necked Lizard, he or she however did not co-operate in showing their lovely neck frill.
