And This Little Pig said Four Years is a Long Time Between Posts

Well, what is it that say, long time between drinks.

I rarely blog these day, obviously, and you are more likely to find me on Instagram @andthislittlepig

So this is for DJ Tickled Pink in Stitches

I can't say when I last picked up this stitching, or any stitching, but this is two days stitching.

Plum Street Samplers - Sophie's Sheep.

And This Little Pig said New Stash!

Pretty Threads
There's nothing like new stash... now all I have to do is find time :@
Mesh bag for carrying round threads and my smalls, plus JCS Christmas Ornament Preview, you know it is cheaper for me to order this from the US, not only cheaper, but I still have not seen a copy here in Oz yet... probably tomorrow.
Little House Needleworks, Ornament of the Month 2012 No1 through to No 6, these are for next year, I still have to finish OoM 2011!
I'm about to say something really awful, I forgot I ordered this one... oops... I remember seeing this on Vonna's Blog - The Twisted Stitcher last year and was so disappointed when I realised it was an exclusive retreat design.
And of course last but definitely not least Plum Street Samplers Halloweenies, the only thing I have to do is find a piece of linen, and start stitching :@

Great progress made on LHN Family Sampler, progress photo later in the week, if I can keep my hands off the above :@

See you next time... LiBBiE in Oz

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day-Wednesday, Crazies and a Finish with Lots of Photos

Yes I have been MIA or is that MIXS :@ so far behind, in everything. I did manage to get all my Crazies started and on the right day, it was a struggle, then fell in a big hole after that, and didn't want to see a needle or thread, more on that later.

Firstly yes Cow-Day-Wednesday, know I missed two. Beautiful and wet today, we were starting to get just a little dry again, and after so many years in drought, it doesn't take much dry weather for people to start to panic. And not a day for my good camera, so had to make do with the good old iPhone.
Wet, but not cold.
The little waves on the water troughs is from the force of the rain.
I snapped this fellow in the calf pens, don't you just love the wrinkles over his eyes?
Part of the reason I went into a little bit of a slump, this is part of a tea dye job gone wrong, and when I say part… try a piece of 32 count linen, that measures 24 x 32 inches for PSS The Flood, I hadn't realized a tea bag had broken, well leaked might be a better description. If it had been evenly distributed I might have been able to live with it, but it just looked 'dirty'. I will be able to salvage most of it, but it was so disheartening, the colour was perfect.
The second piece, no breakage or leaks this time. Twinings Classics Blackcurrant Scented tea.
Day 9 – LHN Ornaments 2011 No 8 Hallelujah
Day 10 – LHN Ornaments 2011 No 9 Joy & Peace – FINISHED!!!!
Day 11 – LHN Ornaments 2011 No 10 Snow in Love
Day 12 – LHN Ornaments 2011 No 11 Winter Forest
Day 13 – LHN Ornaments 2011 No 12 Good Tidings
Day 14 – LHN Warm Winter Woolens... And in the Year of the Dragon, my new scissors from Anita's Little Stitchers Heirloom Scissor Collection… I am so in trouble.
So So So in trouble, I've always resisted purchasing scissors, I have my plain old ordinary stork scissors, and a little pair of German scissors with green plastic handles, that would have to be over 20 years old, and I always thought these were the bee's knees, but nope they are nothing compared to these scissors… trouble.

Still have to photograph Day 15 – Plum Street Samplers The Flood, but it is started.

In case you are wondering why there is a puppy photo at the top of this post, no no new puppies, although I may have some exciting news in about seven weeks.

No the photo is of Podge 1 year ago today, you see I have been a bad mother, I realized tonight, that Podge was 1 year old two days ago… Oops, still don't think she realizes why she was just given and extra treat or two.

So far behind in my blog reading, and trying really hard to catch up :@

Catch you all later… LiBBiE in Oz

And This Little Pig said Special Day + Crazy 2012

First to start off on a very different note, for those of you overseas, well mainly in the US, cricket in Australia is a national past time in summer. Think of baseball, but not really :@ a Test Match can go for 5 days, and while it can finish earlier, it never goes longer than 5 days.

Today is 3rd day of the 'New Year Test' the Sydney Test Match, at the Sydney Cricket Ground, this year we are playing India.

The 3rd day of this Test is a very special day, as it is Jane McGrath Foundation Day.

Jane was an English girl who was married to one of our greatest test bowlers (pitcher) Glenn McGrath. At age 31 she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer this wiki link partly explains her courageous story. She and Glenn married and had two beautiful children.

So back to the 3rd day of the Test Match, a big fundraising day for the McGrath Foundation, it is also a day when the Cricket ground and everyone who attends the game, wears pink, pink clothing, pick shoes, pink hats, pink bandanas and pink hair. It is a day filled with fun and laughter in memory of a very special woman.
To make today an even greater day, the Captain of the Australian Cricket Team, Michael Clarke scored 329 runs not out. I know most of you don't understand this, but let me tell you it is a huge thing to score 100 runs, is consider a great feat let along scoring 300 runs in an innings. And as Jane's best friend said at the end of today's play, the score was 90% talent, and 10% Jane.
Michael Clarke after reaching 300 runs.

So today share a thought for an extraordinary woman, who was not only beautiful on the outside, but had a most beautiful soul. Battled bravely an awful disease, with style and class, and why she did not win the battle, through the Foundation and the sheer determination she showed in life, Jane continues to strongly fight the war. She will forever be imprinted on the heart of the Australian people.
I promised a Crazy Challenge update, so 10 of the Crazies I will be stitching this year.
Day 1 Plum Street Samplers - Sophie's Sheep, stitched on 28 count linen.

Now silly me remembered my camera today, but left Day 2 LHN 2011 Ornaments Cardinal's Winter and Day 3 LHN 2011 Ornaments Bringing Home the Tree starts at home, will have to photograph tomorrow.
Day 4 Little House Needleworks 2011 Ornaments Deck the Halls, 32 count Belfast Linen, hand dyed with Parisienne Essence, double dipped.

I finally decided on Crazy No 15 Little House Needleworks Warm Winter Woolens, seem to have a think for sheep this year :@

Catch up with you all later... LiBBiE in Oz
