And This Little Pig said Quilt Finished

Quilt finished... well just have to stitch a label on the back, so will be done this weekend, it is for my bosses daughter Sarah, she was 21 in February, yes I am late, but far better then the quilt I have off being quilted at the moment, will tell you about that one when it comes back!
The binding was done by the Beautiful Bev, from my LNS. I hate hand sewing (funny seeing as I love cross stitch) and was all prepared to do it, she was only going to sew the binding, pin the corners and leave the rest for me to do! When I picked it up on Tuesday, what do I find but a finished quilt. Naughty Bev :@ That's OK I went and cleaned her carpet for her on Wednesday night.
This Previous Post will tell you about the material, etc, binding is a lovely read with gold/beige spots which looks wonderful, only took an hour to pick out :@
My Little Iron Pig hasn't made an appearance in a while, she managed to get in every shot.

See you next time... cross stitch update... LiBBiE in Oz

PS The Long Dog Puppies are doing well, they were all up and wagging their little tails for me tonight, if it's a nice day tomorrow, might try and get them a little outside time and some sun.

And This Little Pig said We Have Guests

Long Dog Puppies ! :@ !
No they are not mine :(
Count them Five!
Four boys and one girl, she is the black and tan.
I think I am going to call her Primrose :@
Quick she's got a camera... scatter!
Their Mum's name is Flower, I've been asked to babysit, they are around four weeks old, I'll have them for around four weeks, they came last night, but I've had to put them in the garage, with Mum and a heat lamp.
Their breeder has been having some troubles after their pups have their first vaccination, sick puppies some have even died. Test have only shown all the things it isn't, so the Vets have suggested they move any current litters away from home, at around four weeks, in case it is something environmental. All their adult dogs are fine, they have a couple of older pups at home and they are fine too, so we can only hope this all works.
Nearly gotcha.
Gotcha!

So for the next couple of weeks we are going to have cute Long Dog puppy photos :@

Have received a quilt back from the quilters, binding finished, will show you all tomorrow and some stitching progress the day after.

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day Wednesday

Big day, and quite tired, no stitching for a couple of days, and having withdrawals. I'm blaming the Olympics! Being at the bottom of the world, its leading to a late nights and early mornings. Go Sally and Anna! The girls managed to double our gold medals in one day.
What's that you say?
Mmmm... well
Hel...
...lo?
Umm...
...No

I did take photos of others, but this boy stood out, not just the spots, he had character and defiance.

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day Wednesday

Yes I'm back on track, it is Wednesday, the proper Cow-Day, and what a day! Yesterday was obviously the last day of the month, which meant that today I had to be up at 5.30am, at the office by 6am, to get a bank statement to finish the End of Month procedure, and be at the Saleyards in time to do the pre-sale paperwork... then we were first sale, so had to be on the weight bridge by 8.30am. So in other words, a full day's work before I even started :@ but I did get to go home early.
I love lop-ears, just love them, and this girl was wonderful.
Though at times she just won't look at me.
I love this photo, I was trying to get a close up of the lovely markings around her eye, it was only afterwards that I noted the lovely Friesian girl in the background.
Fluffy ears and flyaway hair, needed a bit of hairspray did this one.
And look at the curls, I came back later to take his photo in better light, but he had been moved.

Also today is the horses birthday, and also one of my brothers birthday as well... Happy Birthday.

I'd also like to thank everyone who comments on my blog, I do try and reply to everyone, some days are better than other, plus there are people... DJ and Christine who have a no reply, so I don't get to say hi to them them... Hi DJ, Hi Christine!
