I only just arrived home from the Farm today, and my emails are well and truly out of control! Have not had time to look at them or really look at any blogs for the last nine days.

So I hope you have all had a wonderful festive season, and I leave you with My Prayer for 2012.

Dear God
My prayer for 2012 is for
A fat bank account & a thin body.
Please don't mix these up like you did last year.
AMEN!

So wishing you all a joyful New Year :@

And This Little Pig said Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all on this bright, sunny Christmas morning!

The sky is blue and the birds are singing (literally) in the trees, going to be a glorious day.

So on this beautiful day I thought I would share with you a little Christmas story :@

Mother and Child... This is Mimi, who is only a very young teenager, with her December child, we rarely have kids in December most are born August/September, but while Mum and I were on holidays in July we seemed to have had an immaculate conception or was it one of the bucks got out.
Our version of Away in a Manger
And the little girl child, waiting patiently for the the three wise men to turn up with her presents.
So we wish you a safe and merry Christmas from LiBBiE in Oz, with Meah and the Long Dogs, Evie, Quincy and Podge.

In closing the goat herd shepherdess would like to wish you all peace on earth and goodwill to all :@

And This Little Pig said Long-Dog & Christmas Tree

This is sort of like a 'Where is Wally?' but it is really 'Where and what is Meah doing?' Sitting in my clean washing! A white dog on my black towels! Looks so innocent, doesn't she?
Miss Meah Moo doing her impression of the Long-Dogs.

Today I decided to put up the tree, late I know, but better late than never. I haven't had a tree up at home in years, my old tree and all my decorations and lights are at work. Black tree I got a few years ago at a post Christmas sale. Very sparsely decorated... reindeers and a few balls. Must get some lights :@
Green Deer
Blue Deer
and Silver Deer under the tree

And on a closing note Jennifer and Abigail over at Feathers in the Nest are having a very generous giveaway for Christmas, go on over and have a look.

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day-Wednesday

Yes I realise that is a photo of long-dog Podge, so adorable isn't she?
And a second and third adorable! So so so pretty!
So today is the second last Cow-Day-Wednesday of the year 2011, and it nearly didn't happen, after surviving the break-in last month, one line of corrupt data, nearly stopped the sale before it started. So after over an hour of on-line support, searching to seek and destroy that line, our IT man found it, and fixed.
So no chance to take any photos, it was a miserable drizzly day, this found me dipping into my CWD Spares folder of photos, these were taken last month on a bright sun shiney day.
All Texas Longhorns, yes we do have them in Oz. This is Dad.
Whiskers!

So one more official Cow-Day-Wednesday, but will be going home to the farm for Christmas, and two of the cows are due to calve. May even be lucky and get to photograph a birth.

Talk soon, more long-dog photos, along with some stitching... LiBBiE in Oz

And This Little Pig said Cow-Day-Wednesday

Above is Bug-Eyes, isn't she just gorgeous?
Today was a laid back sort of day, it was hot, with humidity in the high 80's, so it was a lay round and try and do nothing day. I have never seen so many pens of cattle lying down. And they were all so photogenic.
Bug-Eyes' pen mates.
Yes I continue to have a thing for whiskers.
Had a thing for red cows today.
Pen of steers all lying down except one, it was like he was standing guard.
Black & white cows got a look in as well.
You really don't want to know how many photos I took of this girl, she was very co-operative.
Just enjoying a quiet morning nap just taking in the sun.

After today we only have two more sales before Christmas.

Seeya later... LiBBiE in Oz

And This Little Pig said Crazy Finish No 15

Yes finished my Crazy January 2011 Challenge, my last piece LHN Ornaments 2010 Under the Tree. Now all that is left is to 'finish-finish' my 12 ornaments, in time to hang on the tree :@ I've add up all my finishes for the year, 19 in all!
I have my baby sister staying with me at the moment, she has a job driving a truck in the mines, anyway what has this to do with a photo of the Long Dogs and Meah's shadow, well we have decided to it is time to renovate, well more up date the decor of my little house. Don't you love the way the Long Dogs are all laying so that they are touching, and the fact that Podge managed to collect one of my cleaning gloves.
Enjoying the morning sun, with the curtains down at the moment.
This is the main reason for the update, as the paint man at Bunnings (think Home Depot) called it... Caravan Cladding... I call it 'that fake pine brown stuff' except I didn't say stuff :@ I have lived with this for over 15 years, if it had been the lighter colour it might not have been so bad... not it still would have been bad.

Anyway the Bunnings man (our new Uncle Leon) gave us this brilliant paint called Zisser it will apparently adhere to the Caravan Cladding in a one coat undercoat. So last weekend was spend sanding back the window trims and cleaning up all the dust. We have to finish washing down the walls, undercoat, then decide on colours, but more of that later. I will be sure to involve you all with my/our decisions.

As for stitching, I still have to decide if I am going to do the Crazy January Challenge 2012, thinking really hard about it, but for the time being I get to work on my LHN Family Sampler, something I really want to finish.

Seeya tomorrow with Cow-Day-Wednesday... LiBBiE in Oz

After reading about Kathy and Rory's run in with those who think what is your's is theirs, this is what greeted us this morning at the Saleyards office. The police only let us in this morning, they broke in over the weekend, well they broke into the manager's office, and then they went through the wall! Yep you heard me, they went through the wall, and ransacked the back office. MY part of the office! They took the loose change in the drinks jar, and made a mess.

But we are thankful that they didn't take or smash the computers, and everything still works for the sale tomorrow. On the plus side the office was given a really good clean, which included watching three men (bosses) help, wipe, wash and vacuum :@

Seeya soon, with Crazy finish 15.

And This Little Pig said A Little Bit of Everything

First the Long Dogs said G'day... Podge, Quincy and Evie.
One of the reasons I've been a little remiss of late, that and well life, a PD James novel I am loving it! As the blurb on the back reads...

In a pitch-perfect recreation of the world of Pride and Prejudice, PD James elegantly fuses her lifelong passion for the work of Jane Austen with her talent for writing detective fiction. She weaves a compelling story, combining a sensitive insight into the happy but threatened marriage of the Darcys and the excitement and suspense of a brilliantly crafted detective story. Death Comes to Pemberley enshrines the qualities her readers have come to expect: psychological and emotional richness of characterisation, vivid evocation of place, and a credible and superbly structured plot, in a powerful and distinguished work of fiction.

I'm about halfway through, and I think I have worked out who the 'real' baddie is, we will have to see if I am right.
Ever get so close to the end of a piece that you start to itch to see it done, well I am almost there with Northern Nights, hopefully this weekend.

I know I have missed a couple of Cow-Day-Wednesday's but below is a series of photos I took last weekend at a special cattle sale, my good friend Sue is moving to China for a couple of years for her husbands work so sold all her cows, including her bull Enzo, who is a real softy, well as soft as a 900 kilogram bull can be, that's just under 2000 pounds. She was feeding him bread.

Well its off to bed, seeing as I started this post yesterday :@

Seeya soon... LiBBiE in Oz

BIG PS I changed a setting in my commenting, if you have problems leaving me your wonderful thoughts and views, please email, so I can try and work out which is the right one to tick.
